The history behind the story: Peter jones gets into a fight with one of his best friends Andrew smith. The other altercation was between Melissa Wellington who beat up her husband jerry Wellington. There was not a lot of information in the county paper. They have both been charged with assault and released. No charges have been pressed. Restraining Oerter is I place between the first two.
Decide to go to the local museum and get some more history and info in the town. The little old lady who is the caretaker comes and gets us. She is very excited about the documentary. Her name is Agnes dalton. Dalton and Larke found the first mining claim. Her great great great grandfather. Larke is the other family and also the name of the neighboring ghost town.
She goes into the extensive history of the town and mining claim. Very boring and long. She says a few weeks ago she got some new pieces in but she's not sure where they are st the moment. She eludes to some issues with some other employees. Connie tries to ping on any objects. None are psyonic and gator tries to detect magic and nothing there as well.
She brings out some items and paperwork which carter takes pictures of. She also brings out some diaries and ledgers. One diary is from her great great great grandfather. She suddenly Realizes that some object are missing from her private collection. A pick ax a sifting pan and a old pocket watch. She does not have any pictures of these items. She is calling Melissa another employee to see if she knows anything about it. There are five employees Melissa Wellington Peter jones are among those. Rose frost, Aaron Bryan, Angela keck are the others.
We leave and send information to mrs k to look into she says that may of the items are owned by families and have been passed from museums. Items are very early time prospecting, items are from around Larke town.
Part II
Head back to the hotel get food and look over the reports. Find that both attackers wanted to leave but the victims tried to stop them. Both attackers were reported as having nose bleeds. Cal calls bobby to ask if he owns of any supernatural happenings that cause nose bleeds. He says that ghost possession can leave behind some ectoplasmic residue that can cause nose eye or ear bleeding. Looks like blood but it's not actually blood. He suggests finding more information about the items. The fight between the two guys took place at the local bar and the one between husband and wife was at their home.
Decide to go to the local bar and see what we can hear from the locals. There are a few people in the bar. We go to the bar and chat up the bartender. Tony makes a fool out of himself because he has no social skills, Connie takes her beer and her shot and apologizes for him. Bartender has owned the bar for 20 years. Tell the bartender that we see in town doing a mining documentary. Wanting to add some color and life to this documentary. He recommends talking to the members of the museum board.
Over in the corner of the bar we see Andrew smith. Cal goes over and offered to buy him a beer and beg for a story to use in the documentary. Tell him about the documentary and the information owe found at the museum. Ask him to tell any stories history or local history for some local color. Andrew says he really doesn't know what happened. He say his buddy said hey but he seemed to be ignoring him. So he stopped him and asked what the hell what's up. The he started to beat me like it was his job. Peter does not remember what happened Andrew thinks this is bulhit and maybe he was on something. Only thing he would say was leave him alone and where he was going was none of his business.
Peter works out at the mine, Andrew is not currently working but is a miner as well. Peter coaches little league and helps out at the museum. Melissa also works as an administrator at the mine and is on the museum board.
Tony wants to break into the homes of Melissa and peter to see if w can find the missing items. Before we leave the bar we hear someone talking someone who did not show up for work and didn't call in or take a vacation day. The person call him and the wife and neither are picking up. We decide to stick around for a bit and see if we can find more information.
We finally hear that the guy who didn't come in was Kevin Oshay and his wife in Linda. Tony and gator leave and go stake out the Oshay's home. No one is home and the cars are gone. Gator suggest breaking into the home. Tony is all in! They go into the backyard and successfully pick the lock to the back door. They search the home hoping to find any of the missing objects.
Tony finds a computer and powers it on. They find email correspondence between the Melissa peter and Kevin. They discuss making a new display for Agnus at the museum with some items that are very special to her. Kevin and Peter got some of the items out for measurements and seem to be the only ones who have handled the artifacts.
Mina hacks Kevin's phone and finds him in the middle of nowhere. We all decided to head out there and see what we find.
Cal gets a phone call from mrs k and tells him that many of the items are from estates. Most can be traced back to a man named Furgeson McConnell. She sends us a picture of him where he has a shovel pick ax watering pan and a pocket watch all items that are missing. He came to this area in 1865 and died in 1866. She also did some searches in the history books, he was murdered stabbed repeatedly but don't know who did it. Everything he has on him was covered in blood it was brutal. She doesn't know where he was buried. She will keep looking.
We head out to find Kevin. It takes a couple hours to get there. We are almost there about ten min away and mrs k calls back. She said that she found a couple graveyards we can check out. Also there were not Any other Weird incidents at any other locations where the items had been. We continue on to find Kevin. We find an abandoned car. Gator starts to track them, there are two sets of foot prints. See remnants of a dried up river or creek. Rocky hills in the area.
Jump down into an area not easily seen due to rock formations. Jump down about it 5 feet and find a cave facing. The group makes its way in and find areas have fallen in parts. This cave is now t on any of the mining maps. Continue moving in but Mina is not being very incognito. They hear a periodic tink, tink, tink. They come around a corner and see a light from within. They see a man and woman, the woman is tinking away, man is standing behind her saying faster.
Gator casts detect magic and detects nothing. Connie does not detect any psyonics. Cal pulls out his emf meter and detects a whole lotta that. Tony yells hey guy...what's up? He turns around stay back this is my claim. Tony fires a gun with iron shaving and hits him. She turns around and runs to him, saying you don't understand. Something weird is happening between the two. Tony is what? She gets up muddies something in Scottish Gaelic and swings the pick ax at tony. She misses. Connie tumbles past her and is going for the old pick ax. Mina tells cal to throw some salt.
Tony goes for the girl with the pick ax to try and disarm her. He is not successful, she is unusually strong. They see a box behind them that says Bingham mining company. They are explosives, cal says move out. Everyone falls out but Connie. The woman looks at her and says get out now. Everyone moves out. The tinking starts again.
Seems to have reset, tony moves back in. He spots again at the woman. He hits. She falls over and the guy catches her. Tony tries to tumble past to get the box of dynamite but doesn't make it. The rest of th group waits about 30 seconds and hear nothing. Gator heads in first, gives him a 12 second head start. Coming around the corner gator sees the guy placing sticks in the wall and tony is standing behind him.
Plan is formed to charge and tackle. Mina goes for the women, cal goes for the guy and gator and Connie go for tony. As we enter we see they just out the dynamite which ruins the plan. Gator says I got for the dynamite Connie goes for the pick ax. Tony says leave the guy picks up the woman and leaves. Tony says leave repeatedly. Gator tumbles past to go for the dynamite fuses on one side. Tony picks up the ax to protect against what gator is doing. And hits him in the back but he was suspenseful in extinguishing the two fuses on that side. Connie takes aim at the old pick ax and misses. Mina tumbles towards the other fuses but doesn't quite make it. Tony takes another swing and hits gator again.
Connie psyonicly hit tony with whelm, basically a punch in the face. Mina roles again and defuses two of the last three dynamite fuses. Gator throws his hunting knife towards the fuse, wizing right past Mina's head and cutting her across the forehead, and cuts the fuse line.
Tony yells get out and swings the ax to bring it down on the dynamite box. Mina and Connie leaves, gator moves to leave then turns and shoots silver paintball pellets in Tony's eyes. Tony drops the ax, gator sees this and stops and yells I need you back in here. Connie heads back in and argues with gator, Mina comes in and says what are we doing, gator moves to tony and hit him in the back of the head. Tony holds out a pocket watch and yells take this. Connie uses her shirt and grabs the watch.
Gator grabs the pick ax. Tony comes to. Connie turns and grabs the new pick ax looks at gator and says that is mine. Mina yells gator run. Gator says come get it butch and runs out. Connie swing at gator and hits. Mina runs out. Gator behind her. Tony aims and shoots Connie's ax, she lets go of it. Mina makes it to cal and gets the salt file and lighter and runs back in.
Connie grabs a piece of dynamite, tony takes aim at the dynamite and fires. It hits and blows up the whole cave. Gator and Mina get blown out of the cave.... Cal tends to the two wounded outside of the cave.
Part III
Gator is unconscious so cal tends to him next. Mina is conscious but feels like shit. After some work gator is conscious and in pain. Tony and Connie are missing. Gator starts taking trying to make sense of what has happened. We decide to call cater who is at the hotel recovering from a massive bender, to get some guidance in what to do to make sure the ghost does not come back. We decide to alert the authorities to a "mining collapse" and let them excavate the scene.
Cal talks to the couple that came out of the mine. Wants to leave and have us cover for him. He is worried that he will lose his job. Cal lets them leave and develops a cover story.
Carter calls 911 and reports the collapse while heading to the site. They rescue and air support. Cal talks to the first rescue responder and tells him what had happened. Rescuers as us to leave but stay police come and ask us questions. We decide to put all the blame on tony and acting every out of character. Nine hours later the police let us go. Carter hacks the police record and give us legit id backgrounds.
